I have just seen the rough draft of the new movie "Perimeter
Relay 2005". It was quite entertaining for a documentary. The movie
was filled with small bits of humor during the race that made it worth
seeing.
What I liked about the movie were some of the team captains
who shared thier experiences about doing this challenging race. It was
interesting to learn that the course record was established in 1975
with Dan Wilder running on that team and 30 years later, he was running
the race again. The movie should have added some details on how Dan
Wilder's team finished. The business deals with Carl Rundell during
the run added intrigue. Steve Moreno is the star of the movie with all
his fans showing up. It was funny about the crazy boyfriend who chases
the van during the night. It was played by the runners like the Fraiser
episodes where they talk about Maris and you never see her or the boyfriend.
I wanted to see the boyfriend find Steve Moreno and see what happened.
The Hawaii Foodbank won the race by nearly 3 hours, there
was no obsticle to overcome for them. Is there no competition in Hawaii
that can give the movie some adreniline? It looked like this team was
having alot of fun.
All in all I give the film 3 stars out of 4. It was an
interesting story and had excellent music.
