Story
The "Perimeter Relay 2005" is the
story about the events that lead up to the race on February 26-27, 2005.
Team Captain, Lou Tomsic puts together a 7 person team to have fun running
134 miles around the island of Oahu. What happens during the night is
an amazing sight to see. The weather is another wet night in parts of
the island and there are reports that Kaena Point trail is flooded out
again.
Follow the team members as you learn about
these crazy cast of characters:
Louis Tomsic is a PADI scuba instructor of Local Divers who as
team captain, is making sure the team gets to all its handoffs without
missing one this year.
Steve Moreno is a famous TV comercial personality ever since he
did his hip adidais shorts commercial. During the race, he has a couple
carloads of girls chasing the teams vans to get his autograph.
Carl Rundell is a wealthy entepenuer who is trying to keep his
work and running seperate but a couple of local business women are trying
to get in on a deal for some hot real-estate he owns.
Chad Worthen is a dedicated family man who is having some family
vacation troubles with the children while he is doing the around the island
run during the night.
Dan Nelson is writing a book about his many travels around the
world and he so amazed at what is happening at this years perimeter relay,
he is adding another chapter to his book.
Antonio J. Eppolito is a doctor who is having more patient phone
calls during the run night than he has had in the past month.
Mike Ferreira is a U.S. Coast Gaurd (Seach and Rescue) and avid
golfer who is thinking about his next round of golf during the week.
The "Hawaii Foodbank" team has 2 massage theripists, 2 french
perfume models as navigators, and 2 van drivers who are speeding through
the night to support thier team get across the finish line first out of
the 94 other teams. Can the "Hawaii Foodbank" team come close
to the 12 hour mark and the untouchable race course record?

thier running shoes and spend the night together running around the perimeter
of the island of Oahu.
